Great six-pack of classic tango pieces, which I didn't have in my collection so far, performed by an enchanting chamber orchestra comprising vocals, strings, bandoneónes, piano, and double bass. Sven B. Schreiber (sbs)
This "orquesta típica" is from the Argentine town of Rosario - a place in the home country of the tango, where exceptionally good music is created. "Orquesta Utópica" plays and records original compositions by its musical directors, guitarist Martín Tessa and bandoneonist Sebastián Jarupkin, as well as by other members of the ensemble. On "147 (Ciento Cuarento y Siete)", they are joined by Rosarian singer-songwriter Juan Iriarte, who contributed five of his own compositions. Sven B. Schreiber (sbs)
